Very rarely, a successful herbal ensemble is obtained without the input of the so-called “banned or restricted herbs for medicinal use“.
But how do you determine if a given herbal mixture is successful?
With us, this happens in only one way – through their physical testing of many real patients and many real complaints. We call a herbal formulation “successful” only if it has produced excellent results in more than 90% of tested patients. And the last ones are at least 300 people who used our herbal product for at least 60 days and agreed to use it after we informed them that this herbal product is still being tested and developed.
Here it is important to specify that we work with the plants themselves, which we carefully collect from non-urbanized areas in Bulgaria. We call them “wild herbs” and they have nothing in common with so-called “herbal extracts”.
We are convinced that every herb that we offer to the patient is not dangerous for his health, nor for the state of his microbiome and is not an allergen.
Voll methodology allows to measure the influence of the herbal mixture on each person personally, before it is accepted by him, purely physically.
But it’s one thing to measure the theoretical formulation, it’s quite another to get information from the patient about how he is affected by the tincture, what exactly changes in his physiological state, whether he has had adverse reactions from the preparation and any other possible data that the Voll methodology cannot research in advance in development.
Development always and in each patient brings individual details, since each person is also the Universe.
Regarding Achynora we followed all these preliminary studies that I described above and we got wonderful results from all patients who agreed to try Achynora treatment, although we are still studying its effect.
We are very fortunate that Dr. Grigorova is a herbalist, third generation, and also has an impressive patient list, people who completely trust her advice and judgment.
Achynora is precisely the product of Dr. Grigorova’s research related to patients who have or have had a problem with the quality of blood and lymph. Attached to this article is part of the presentation of Achynora by Dr. Grigorova, which was presented at our annual seminar held in June, 2022. at St. Thomas resort in Bulgaria.
The past period 2020-2022 was marked by the COVID pandemic. During measurements with a Voll device of many patients, the condition of the energy meridians of the immune, lymphatic system and blood (AL, LY, Pd) of a large number of patients who have recovered from COVID caused serious concern in our country.
It became clear that the SARS virus CoV-2 affects not only the respiratory tract, but is a generalized disease of all human organs and systems. Lungs and liver, spleen, immune, lymphatic system, parenchyma tissues and blood, as well as the nervous system of humans are particularly affected.
These results, obtained by measurements over 21 days with a Voll device, of the energy meridians of a seriously ill COVID patient were reflected in the book by Nadejda Grigorova (Nadejda Grigorova, PhD, “239 Clinical Cases with Comments, vol. 1, Viruses“ ), published in November 2020 in the USA, printed and distributed by Amazon.
During research, it gradually became clear that the blood meridian (Pd) was an abnormal indications not only in people suffering from COVID but also in people with various chronic diseases. My other conclusion was that the improved condition of the blood is a prerequisite for the prevention of various chronic diseases.
That is why over the past 2 years we have conducted research together with the company “Biobalance EOOD”, Sofia, to find an herbal formula that improves and purifies the blood and lymph.
The measurements of the Chinese and Voll meridians according to the method of the German doctor Reinhold Voll were carried out with the Bulgarian Voll device IKG-2, registered as a medical device in the EU.
Testing is completely safe and painless, the skin is only touched and the specific resistance in the energy points is recorded. For patients with energy imbalances, various herbal formulas have been studied to improve and normalize the readings of the Voll meridians:
AL- meridian of the immune system
LY-meridian of the lymphatic system
Pd- meridian of cell metabolism, degeneration of blood and blood vessels and organ epithelium
All studies were conducted with dry herbs and their tinctures.
Considering that the building blocks of blood are erythrocytes, lymphocytes, and platelets, we examined the available literature on herbs that help with the following conditions: anaemia, inflammatory processes, leukaemia, blood vessel diseases, and thrombosis.
An important condition was not to use toxic herbs, dangerous to health. This is how we arrived at the herbal composition of the Achynora tincture.
All herbs in the formula are non-toxic in the recommended doses. The positive effect is obtained only in a combination of the selected herbs, not individually. Patients with chronic diseases are very satisfied with the results and their health improves.
Herbal medicine is a holistic treatment that has come to this day as strong and effective as our people have practiced it for thousands of years. Most medicines in the past were derived from medicinal plants. Extracts, tinctures and dry herbs remain an important part of modern medicines. The belief that herbs should be used in their full, natural composition is becoming more and more important since there is a synergistic effect in the action of the different chemical ingredients in them.
The experience of Bulgarian phytotherapy specialists also shows that the joint presence of certain herbs contributes to their beneficial effects. There are numerous recipes for herbal mixtures published in the literature.
It is known that blood is the basis of human life. Through the erythrocytes, oxygen is carried to every cell, through the platelets they plug the holes in the vascular system and prevent blood loss, and the lymphocytes provide the body’s immune protection.
The non-specific immune response occurs through inflammation and phagocytosis. The specific immune response is of two types:
– humoral – through the B-lymphocytes, which, after phagocytosis of the foreign body (antigen), secrete antibodies specific to the case and thus inactivate the antigen. What remains are the special B-lymphocytes, called memory cells, which remember the antigen and ensure a rapid immune response in case of reinfection.
– T-lymphocytes, which attack pathogens, infected, or cancer cells in the body.
All these processes take place in the blood in an organized and purposeful manner. The interaction between the formed elements in the blood can be observed by microscopic examination of live blood cells in a dark field at a magnification of 1200-1500 times. There you can see how a large, toxin-laden lymphocyte is approached by a small erythrocyte; it is seen to take part of the load of the lymphocyte and go to perish in the spleen. This is very impressive! We can only be amazed at the magnificent synchronization of the cells in our body and as much as we can, we should try to support the function of the immune system through blood purification measures.
Contamination of the blood and clogging of the lymphatic vessels may have external manifestations as follows:
All these conditions can become chronic and lead to serious diseases not only in adults but also in quite young people.
Our efforts were aimed at finding a suitable natural remedy to help purify the blood and strengthen the immune system, to prevent more severe chronic diseases.
The Achynora tincture contains 40% pharmaceutically pure ethanol (C2H5OH) as a solvent. And five Bulgarian wild herbs: Yarrow, Rosemary, Walnut, Juniper and Nettle.
Yarrow is a perennial herb.
Its stem is erect, covered with pappus and reaches up to 70 cm. The rhizome is creeping. The flowers are collected in a flat inflorescence of baskets at the top of the stem, white in color, with five stamens. The leaves are covered with pappus and emit a characteristic smell.
Usable part: the flowers and stems of the plant, harvested during flowering from May to September.
Chemical composition: The plant contains an essential oil in which hamazulene, eugenol, borneol, matricin, camphor, caryophyllene and bicyclic terpenes have been proven.
The plant also contains flavone glucosides such as apigenin and luteolin, the bitter substance achilein, tannins, isovaleric and formic acid esters and many others of the sesquiterpene lactone type. (R. C. Wren, Potter’s New Cyclopedia of Botanical Drugs and Preparations, C. W Daniel Company LTD, UK, 1998, p 290.)
Action and application: Hemostatic, pain-relieving, with anti-inflammatory, beneficial effect on the digestive system and in atherosclerosis (Ilia Lanzhev, Encyclopaedia of Medicinal Plants in Bulgaria, Izd. Trud, 2010, p. 104.)
White yarrow is used in anemias such as hemolytic anemia, in anemias of chronic diseases and in diseases of lymphoreticular tissue (Vasil Kaniskov, Modern Phytotherapy, Izd.Iztok-Zapad, Sofia, 2013, pp. 14, 18, 20, 31 .) Yarrow is useful for inflammation of the lymph nodes. (D. Yordanov, P. Nikolov, A. Boychinov, Medicine and Physical Education Publishing House, Sofia, 1963, p.78.)
In the list of herbs for the treatment of various malignant neoplasms, yarrow is definitely present (Vasil Kaniskov, Phytotherapy of oncological diseases, Sofia, East-West, 2012, p.79, 246, 284, 289)
White yarrow is part of recipes for the treatment of purulent inflammations of the oral cavity, diseases of the hematopoietic system, gastric inflammations and bleeding from the stomach lining, and uterine hemorrhages. (I. Ivanov, I. Landzhev, F. Neshev, Herbs in Bulgaria and their use, Sofia, Zemizdat, 1973, p. 324, 338, 354.) Yarrow extracts activate the action of fibrin, but never lead to the formation of thrombi. (D. Pamukov, H. Atardzhiev, Sofia, Zemizdat, 1990, p. 73) This is also confirmed by the Russian-language literature (S. Sokolov, I. Zamotaev, Spavochnik po officinym rasteniyam, Moscow, Medicine, 1984) The use of yarrow as a blood purifier, hematopoietic agent and as an herbal remedy for bone marrow disease is recommended in Yovcho Dobrev’s compendium. In the same collection of recipes, the author recommends white yarrow as a pain-relieving herb for diseases of the spine, for Parkinson’s, for dizziness and headache, as well as for edema and general debility (Yovcho Dobrev-Chortov, Herbs for health, Izd. Atea, Sofia, 2019, pp. 328, 445, 446, 447, 454)
White yarrow is widespread in our country and it is not difficult to pick and store this very useful herb.
Rosemary is an evergreen, highly branched shrub, reaching up to 1m.
The leaves are hard, small, needle-like, leathery, gray below and shiny above, with a pleasant aroma.
The flowers are small, blue, to whitish.
The usable part is the aromatic leaves.
Chemical composition: The leaves contain an essential oil consisting of borneol, camphene, camphor, cineole, limonene, terpineol, verbenol and others; flavonoids such as apigenin, diosmin, diosmetin, hispidulin, luteolin derivatives; rosmarinic acid; diterpenes such as picrosalvin, rosmarinquinone and rosmarinicin; triterpenes such as ursolic and oleanolic acids.
Action and application: Rosemary has an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect due to rosmarinic and ursolic acids and apigenin. The content of diosmin strengthens the capillaries, and derivatives of rosmarinicin contribute to the pain-relieving effect. (Potters New Cyclopedia of Botanical Drugs and Preparations, Daniel Company, UK, 1998, p. 236-237)
Rosemary has been used in Bulgarian native medicine since ancient times. There are preserved recipes of the healer Vasily Vrach, burned as a Bogomil heretic in Constantinople in the 12th century, who recommended internally an infusion of rosemary to regulate blood sugar, and externally – for baths for rheumatism and gout. (S. Petrova, Vasiliy Vrach, all recipes , Sofia, Millennium, 2022, p. 26, 113)
Rosemary acts as a diuretic, cholagogue for congestion in the bile ducts, for cardiac neuroses, for epilepsy and apoplexy, for shortness of breath and melancholy (Ilia Landzhev, Encyclopedia of Medicinal Plants in Bulgaria, Sofia, Izd. Trud, 2010, p.340) Czech healer Rosa Flashnikova includes rosemary leaves in a recipe for cleansing the lymphatic system. (Sofia, newspaper “Doctor”, June 24, 2019, p. 8) Application of rosemary in lymph disease was also reported by Vasil Kaniskov. (V. Kaniskov, Modern Phytotherapy, Izd. Iztok-Zapad, Sofia, 2013, p. 34) Rosemary is also noted as an anti-inflammatory agent, for epilepsy, asthma and gynecological problems. (D. Yordanov, P. Nikolov, A. Boychinov, Phytotherapy, Medicine and Physical Education, Sofia, 1969, p.225)
As a means of strengthening scanty menstruation, rosemary is recommended in the collection of herbal recipes. (D. Palushev, H. Akhtarjiev, Prirodna Apteka, Sofia, Zemizdat, 1990, p. 250)
Rosemary is often included in recipes to strengthen the body in severe diseases. (V. Kaniskov, Phytotherapy of Oncological Diseases, Sofia, Izd. Iztok-Zapad, 2012, pp. 79, 125, 176, 246, 289) Yovcho Dobrev emphasizes the effect of rosemary as a strengthening agent that stabilizes blood circulation and the nervous system, and together with this activates the overall metabolism. (Yovcho Dobrev-Chortov, Herbs for Health, Sofia, Izd. Atea, pp. 408, 453)
The climatic conditions in our country allow rosemary to grow year-round. This is an affordable means of strengthening the health of the population.
The walnut is a highly branched tree, up to 20-25 m tall, with gray bark, with large, complex leaves consisting of several bright green, oval leaves on long petioles. The female flowers are small, with a four-parted perianth and two reddish ligules, and the male flowers are collected in large fringes of small inflorescences. The fruit has a fleshy green outer shell and a hard inner shell, and the nuts have a ridged surface separated by soft, woody plates. Part used: Leaves, green walnuts, the kernels of mature walnuts, and also the soft partitions of the kernels. Chemical composition: The leaves and outer shell of green walnuts contain about 5% gallotannins, free gallic and ellagic acids, the coloring matter juglone, a significant amount of vitamin C, naphthoquinones and flavonoids. The nuts contain vitamins A, C, D, the chemical elements iron and cobalt, 45-75% fat and some of the above-mentioned substances in the green nuts and leaves. Action and application: Anti-inflammatory and bactericidal action, in case of inflammation of the lymph glands. The fruits are used to strengthen the body: to stimulate the activity of the heart, for gout, jaundice, tuberculosis and against sclerosis (Ilia Lanzhev, Encyclopedia of Medicinal Plants in Bulgaria, Izd. Trud, 2010, p. 295) Use of walnut in anemia, in hemorrhagic conditions and in granulocytosis of white blood cells are highlighted in the book (V. Kaniskov, Modern Phytotherapy, Iztok-Zapad ed., Sofia, 2013, pp. 20, 23, 25) Walnuts are included in recipes for blood purification in the collection (Yovcho Dobrev-Chortov, Herbs for health, Izd. Atea, Sofia, 2019, pp. 152 and 394). In the same collection, the author recommends the walnut for atherosclerosis (p. 444), inflammation of the lymph nodes (p. 451), inflammation of the bone (p. 453) and for general purification of the body (p. 456). The walnut is widely used in recipes for strengthening the body in severe diseases (V Kaniskov, Phytotherapy of oncological diseases, ed. East-West, Sofia, 2012, p. 79, 134, 150, 284, 296, 289, 306) The last quote refers to raw walnuts recommended as a tonic for leukemia. In the literature, the walnut is recommended for lymphadenopathy, struma nodosis, rheumatism, thrombophlebitis, gout, osteoporosis and hemorrhoids. (P. Manolov, B. Manolova, Narchnik po bilkolechenie, Izd. Svetovit, Sofia, 2005, p. 163) Walnuts as a means against atherosclerosis are used in Russian bull therapy. (S. Sokolov, I. Zamotaev, Reference to medicinal plants, Moscow, Medicine, 1984)
It can be seen that the walnut, a widespread tree in our country, is a source of health and strength.
Juniper is a bush of the Cypress family, up to 4 m high, highly branched. The leaves are acuminate, 3 in bundles, fan-shaped and strongly spiny. Ripe fruits turn dark blue with a sweetish taste and a resinous smell. The plant is widespread in Europe and also in Bulgarian mountains up to 1700 m above sea level. The whole plant emits a pleasant, refreshing smell.
Part used: The young green twigs at the tips, which are without fruit; separate the ripe dark blue fruits.
Chemical composition: Essential oil containing the terpenes myrcene, junene, sabinene and alpha-pinene; 1-4 cineole, p-cymene, camphene, limonene, beta-pinene, gamma-terpinene, alpha-thujene, etc. of this kind. It also contains tannins such as catechin, epicatechin, gallocatechin and epigallocatechin; diterpene acids such as myrceocommuninic, communinic, isopimatric and tolurosic acids; sugars, resinous substances, waxes and Vitamin C ( RCWren, Potter’s New Cyclopedia of Botanical Drugs and Preparations, C. W Daniel Company LTD, UK, 1998, p 161 ).
In the same reference book, juniper is recommended as a diuretic, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory agent, for acute and chronic cystitis and for rheumatism.
In the Bulgarian literature on herbal medicine, the role of terpene junene in juniper is highlighted as a diuretic and for kidney stones, atherosclerosis and arthritis ( D. Pamukov, X Akhtarjiev, Sofia, Zemizdat, 1990, pp. 233, 236 ).
Bulgarian herbal medicine recommends juniper for dropsy, for liver disease, gout, skin rashes, for inhalations for shortness of breath and bronchitis, as well as for baths for rheumatism and neuroses (I. Lanzhev, Encyclopedia of Medicinal Plants in Bulgaria, Ed. Trud , Sofia, 2010, page 391 ).
The people of the Rhodope mountain use sprigs of juniper branches in case of epidemics in humans and animals, as well as strangulation of the room of a crying baby.
Raw, well-ripened juniper berries (up to 10 per day) are brewed into tea for difficult urination, stomach and kidney pain; erysipelas, gout and hemorrhoids; for skin diseases, smallpox, fever, to purify the blood and to improve digestion.
An extract from the top branches with leaves is used for gargling, for the treatment of infertility, problems with women’s cycles, and also as a laxative ( V. Kaniskov, Medicinal plants of Bulgaria, encyclopedic reference, Izd. West-Zapad, Sofia, 2011 , p.558 ). The same author reports on the use of juniper in anemia from enzyme disorders and in cases of acquired hemolytic anemia ( V. Kaniskov, Modern Phytotherapy, Sofia, East-West, 2013, p.18 ).
The Russian healer Junna Davitashvili recommends chewing ground juniper needles and walnuts for tuberculosis. ( Yovcho Dobrev-Chortov, Herbs for health, Izd. Atea, Sofia, 2019, p. 276 ). In this book, the author recommends extracts of needles and juniper twigs for chronic inflammation of the bladder, joint pain, stomach and liver diseases (p. 421).
Wide use of juniper as a general tonic for serious diseases is highlighted in the book ( V. Kaniskov, Phytotherapy of oncological diseases, Sofia, East-West, 2012, pp. 58, 96, 142, 150, 184, 228 ).
Juniper fruits are more often used in natural medicine. Our experience through measurements of Voll meridians of real patients showed that the strongest positive impact on the immune, lymphatic system and blood have the young green top branches and leaves of the juniper. That is why this part of the plant is included in our recipe, without the addition of juniper fruit.
Nettle is a perennial dioecious plant with a four-edged, fiery stem, up to 2 m high. The leaves are opposite, toothed, ovate, covered with sharp, fiery hairs. The female flowers are fringed in the axils of the leaves. Male flowers have 4 petals and 4 stamens, collected in erect inflorescences.

Action and application: In general, the action of nettle is generally tonic. In anemia, it increases hemoglobin and the number of erythrocytes in the blood. Nettle has a hemostatic effect, helps with varicose veins, regulates metabolism, helps with allergic rhinitis, tuberculosis and rheumatism ( P. Manolov, B. Manolova, Handbook of herbal medicine with recipes, Svetovit Publishing House, Sofia, 2005, p. 118 )
In the book “Phytotherapy” ( D. Yordanov, P. Nikolov, A. Boychinov, Izd. Medicina i fizkultura, Sofia, 1969, p. 250 ), other uses of nettle are presented: for itchy skin eczema, for gall and liver diseases , with constipation and hemorrhoids, stomach colic and digestive disorders.
Yovcho Dobrev-Chortov in his book ( Herbs for Health, Izd. Atea, 2019 ) has collected recipes from many healers such as P. Dimkov, Junna, Vanga, Dyado Vlaicho, Hieromonk Heofit Kalchev and others. Nettles are given special attention. It is used to strengthen blood vessels, for blood purification and for leukemia (p. 451); for varicose ulcers, dizziness, headaches, chronic fatigue, viral infections and dropsy (p.446); with muscle weakness (p. 452); in avitaminosis (p. 444); in diabetes, menopause, skin rashes and hair problems (p449-450).
Vasil Kaniskov in his book ( Contemporary phytotherapy, Izd. Zapad, Sofia, 2013 ) includes nettle as an ingredient in many recipes: for all types of anemia (p. 14), blood infections (p. 32), for leukemia (p. . arteries and capillaries (pp. 191-193), etc.
Nettle is widespread in our country. It is the first green food that gives strength and life after the cold winter. Nettle is a food and at the same time it is a wonderful medicine.
